Stainless steel starting resistors are reliable, robust resistors which are used to control the current of an electric motor during the starting and stopping phases.

Starting resistors are especially recommended for applications in heavy industry, mining as well as in quarries, cranes, etc. with variable speed drives from 5 kW to 2MW:

ROTOR MOTOR STARTING RESISTORS

Resistors designed for smooth and efficient starting of rotor motors, allowing a step start with high starting torque at low and limited starting currents.

These resistors are specially recommended for high power motors and for driving equipment with high inertia and fast acceleration requirements.

STATOR MOTOR STARTING RESISTORS

Resistors designed for gradual starting of electric motors, fans, compressors, etc…, allowing to select the torque in relation to the equipment to be started.

They are specially recommended for equipment with low starting torque

RING MOTOR SRARTING RESISTORS

Dry type resistors designed for ring motor starting by controlling the speed and torque characteristics. The resistors are divided into steps and the motor starting is controlled by contactors and a control system. When the motor speed increases, the external rotor resistors are eliminated by short-circuiting the contactors until all external resistors have been short-circuited.

These resistors are specially recommended for equipment requiring high starting torque.
